A stunning pair of profusely carved Burmese hardwood chairs. Dating from the later half of the 19th Century this pair of chairs feature carvings of both exotic animals and plants. Typically made for export to the Victorian era British market where demand for highly decorative furniture pieces was high. Reupholstered in a sympathetic cotton linen fabric featuring peacock motifs.
